General Information on Policies

  • All rates are double occupancy (2 people) unless indicated otherwise.
  • Weekends, holidays and special event times require minimum 2 day stay.
  • Additional person(s) add $10 per person, including children and infants.
  • Rates do not include Sales Tax or Room Tax.
  • We offer a 10% military discount, only one discount is offered per reservation, per room. Upon arrival, you will need to show your appropriate ID to receive discount.
  • Check-In Time is 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Early check-in can only be accommodated with advance notice and is dependent on availability. Please call the office 608.687.3111 on the day of arrival to inform us if you are scheduled to arrive after 10 p.m., to make arrangements for after-hours arrival.
  • Check-Out Time is 10 a.m. You may check out any time prior to 10 a.m. A late check-out can only be accommodated with consent from the innkeeper based on availability that day. Late check-out without innkeepers consent with result in additional charges of $25 per half hour past standard check-out time, as we require that time to prepare the room for our next guest’s arrival.
  • Quiet Time begins at 10 p.m. and lasts until 8 a.m., in respect for other guests and property owners. We also are careful to maintain a quiet and peaceful atmosphere for ALL our guests. Parents are responsible for their children while staying here at the motel. Management reserves the right to
    address noise issues at any time and police will be called if needed. All unregistered guests must leave by 9 p.m.
  • Sorry, we regret pets are not permitted on the property and may not be left in vehicles, even if just visiting a registered guest. Please notify management if you are traveling with a service animal.
  • Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside or near the entrances of the motel. Violators will be charged $150 – $1500 for us to clean and restore the room to its original condition, including the necessary days that the room is out of commission for its restoration.
  • If you have requested a specific room, we will try our best to meet your request. However, we reserve the right to move your party to a different room (prior to your arrival) in order to efficiently book our property.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Cancellation: Making a reservation at a small mom and pop motel is not the same as making a hotel reservation. The Fountain Motel is a small property where every guest reservation made is both important and special to us and last minute changes or cancellations significantly affect our business. When you reserve a room, we agree to turn away all other requests for that room and you
agree to pay the rate quoted for the number of days your reserve it. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy.

Guests are responsible for payment of all night(s) reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. Guests who need to depart prior to their reservation end date will be expected to honor their reservation commitment. No-shows are also responsible for full payment of their entire reservation.

  • Emergency Travel Cancellation & Early Departures– Sorry, there are NO REFUNDS, NO EXCEPTIONS. You do not lose your money – you will get a house gift certificate for the value of your reservation. All cancellations are subject to a $25.00 administrative processing per room, per night.
  • Cancellations require 2 days notice prior to arrival date. If cancellation is made prior to the required time the charged amount will be refunded via a house gift certificate, less a $25.00 cancellation fee. If cancellation is less than 48 hrs prior to arrival date you will be obligated to pay for the entire stay for the room.
  • 50% of the total charges will be charged to your credit card on the day of your booking and the balance will be charged upon check-in. If it is a one night stay, 100% of the room rate will be charged to your credit card at the time of the booking.
  • VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted.


A signature will be required: I (as a representative of my party) understand and agree to be financially responsible for any damages caused to the guest room or it’s furnishings and grounds or if extra cleaning is required, including re-keying for lost key(s), or any infractions of the above rules, i.e.; smoking/pets. I authorize my credit card company to allow assessments due to my credit card for any charges or repairs for violations or damages or to replace broken items, including extra cleaning or rekeying. I agree to and understand all conditions of this policy; I certify all information to be true and accurate.
